Founding ML Engineer - AI/LLMs
About the Role:
We are searching for an exceptional Founding ML Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in developing an AI-powered co-pilot for chip designers. This role is perfect for someone with deep expertise in AI/ML and LLMs who is excited about redefining how the semiconductor industry builds and optimizes chips.

As our Founding ML Engineer you are passionate about transforming the chip design process and empowering designers with cutting-edge tools. You’ll use your knowledge of AI, ML, and LLMs to build impactful features that make chip development faster, easier, and more intuitive. You’ll also work directly with top-tier clients in chip and IP design to evolve our product with real-world feedback.
What You’ll Do:
As our Founding ML Engineer your responsibilities will include:
- Developing advanced AI models and infrastructure that support 10+ customers in the chip and IP sectors.
- Making critical architectural decisions to define key product features and the co-pilot's overall direction.
- Translating user feedback into product updates and new features, ensuring the tool aligns with customer needs.
- Collaborating with the founding team to help shape the product roadmap and core strategy.
Minimum Requirements for the Founding ML Engineer Role:
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and PyTorch.
- Strong knowledge of ML models, LLMs, foundation models, and agent-based systems.
- Experience building ML pipelines and working with LLMs/foundation models.
- Motivation to apply AI/ML to transform chip design.
- Ability to ship high-quality code quickly, work iteratively, and solve complex technical problems.
Ideal Experience:
As a Founding ML Engineer ideal candidates will have:
- Experience shipping products using LLMs, foundation models, or agentic workflows.
- Familiarity with AWS SageMaker.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Prior experience in AI/ML-driven chip EDA software.
- Background in chip design, either commercial or open-source.
